DESCRIPTION:Pop up Eco Open House in Lewes! \nIf you thought you couldn’t have an air source heat pump in the heart of Lewes’ Conservation Area\, in a terraced house\, come and see this one! We are really pleased to be able to invite Zoe to show you her hand-crafted town house in the very heart of Lewes. The house is modern but has depth and soul due to the natural\, reclaimed and recycled materials used in the renovation over 4 years ago.  There is an air source heat pump on the roof\, providing hot water and underfloor heating\, with a smart thermostatic heating system. Lighting is especially low energy\, with LED fittings throughout\, some using as little as 1 watt. The house has reduced its annual energy consumption from c.12\,900 kWh to c. 5\,500 kWh – a reduction of 57%. \nZoe will show you around and there will be a Q&A session afterwards. \nOpen 12th September at 11am. DESCRIPTION:Join us in Bishopstone for a Pop up Eco Open House! \nCome and see the final stages of a deep retrofit and loft conversion of a 1960’s bungalow in Bishopstone. There are the usual retrofit items\, (triple glazing\, external wall insulation) but check out the more unusual solutions; an air to water heat pump for domestic hot water also used for summer cooling\, a homemade insulating cork screed and 8000 litres of rainwater storage for garden irrigation. Heating will be by air-to-air heat pump. Venetia will give you a tour around the house and there will be a Q&A session afterwards. \nThere will be 2 tours on offer\, one at 11am – 1pm and a second tour at 2pm – 4pm.
