SUMMARY:Sustainable Seaford Fair
DESCRIPTION:The Sustainable Seaford Fair brought to you by Sharing Skills CIC and Seaford Head School.\nSaturday 1st June 12pm-4pm\nJoin them for a festival of sustainability! \nSchools\, environment groups\, businesses\, and communities will come together to celebrate what we’re doing to live more sustainably and to learn about the small steps we can take to do more. \n\nThere’ll be music\, food\, talks\, stalls and activities to provide information\, connection\, and fun!\nVisit the developing school vegetable garden being created by the students and staff.\nMusic provided by the students and local band ‘Music from the Sofa’.\nThe Food Tech department will be whizzing up smoothies using surplus fruit with thanks to Morrisons and Havens Food Cooperative.\nA programme of talks and discussion facilitated by the UNA Climate & Oceans Youth Cabinet.\n\nOvesco will be in attendance with our Energy Champions\, offering free advice and support on reducing energy usage in the home. \nEvent programme:\n12:00 – Films and introduction from the UNA Climate & Oceans youth council\n12:15 – 12:45pm – Chris Rowland CEO of Ovesco CIC Ltd a community energy company – Ovesco in the community\n12:55 – 1:15pm – Cosmo Robertson – a member of the UNA Climate & Oceans youth council – “Revival: Stories of Rewilding Sussex. A conversation with a young film Director”\n1:25pm – Paul Turner from Ministry of Eco – a summary of the climate & nature crisis\n2 – 2:30pm – Cat Fletcher – Freegle UK co-founder and waste prevention activist talks about her inspiring projects\n2:40 – 3pm – Helen Rankin – Owner Managing Director of local company Cheeky Wipes – Cheeky Pants and The Nappy Gurus\n3:10 – 3:30pm – David St Maur Sheil – artist\, gardener and advocate for greater soil awareness – Soil and Art\, Roots of Landscape\n3:35pm Film showing – Revival: Stories of Rewilding Sussex\, directed by a member of the UNA Climate & Oceans youth council Cosmo Robertson
